The AMAZING shoes I got in the sale! They’re so cute!

Don’t think I ever posted this!! But this is a ‘The Princess Bride’ cross stitch I made for my Mum for Christmas!
Mid Day Snack: Beans on Toast
This was amazing! I don’t usually like peas but the broad beans and peas used in this were picked that morning so were sweet and absolutely delicious! We firstly took the beans out of the pods and blanched them. In a frying pan, we fried the chorizo we had sliced and when almost cooked, added the beans, took the peas out of their pods and added them along with some garlic and seasoning. To finish it off we added shredded mint and butter and spooned it on top of some bruschetta which we then topped with micro salad and an edible flower.
One of my favourite dishes of my day at river cottage!! Go check out my food blog to see all the things I made on my one day cooking course. http://je-gouterai.tumblr.com/
Trying to save money at the moment so I’ve started to try and make my own facial scrub instead of spending about £3 on one! I only really thought about it the other day when watching Superscrimpers on Channel 4 where a girl made a scrub from lemon juice and sugar.
So for the past few days I’ve been using cotton pads, using a few drops of Tea Tree Oil, Lemon juice, then dip it in sugar and then exfoliate my face.
My skin glows from the lemon juice! It seems to be fine so far but going to carry on for another few days of week and see how it goes!
Haven’t really been very active the past few days, but I needed full concentration last night as I was going through all the recipes I have cut out of magazines over the past year or so and putting them in a folder.
Gonna try and work my way through some of them! ahh
+Ryan’s coming round later as I’m trying to go swimming at least once a week and he is coming along with me. He’ll be round earlier though for dinner and we’re gonna make some bruschetta. I am so excited. They’re gonna be so fucking good.
+:) I’m going to make Pesto later for the gnocchi I just made which is chilling in the fridge. omnomnomnom
+Wanna whore out my food blog cause it doesn’t have a lot of people following it and I am enjoying it quite a bit! :)

+I’m really not in the mood tonight. I’m sitting in bed waiting to go to sleep but all I can think about it this cross stitch I’m making for my mum’s present. It’s pixel people of the characters from The Princess Bride which is one of her favourite films. However it is taking me so much longer than I thought it would and really need my day tomorrow to finish it. My family are wanting to go to this christmas fair tomorrow in Stroud but I really would rather get this done! I’m just so worried that my dad is going to freak out about it or have a go at me or something but I’d rather get this done than go there. blahh.
+Last night I got home from university pretty late (I left about half 8 to walk home) so got home round half 8. I put the dishes away and had a chat with my house mate beckie and had to cut it short because I was so hungry! My mum had bought me an Antony Worrhall Thompson cook book a while a go and I had hardly used it so I got to work on making a ‘flavour filled rosti” which consisted of potatoes, par boiled and grated, diced onions softened in butter and some grated cheese. It was meant to have bacon in it but alas, I had no bacon or any meat in this case!
It took sooooo much longer than I thought it would as grating potatoes actually takes forever and then cooking it in the frying pan takes at least 20 minutes. Just the prep and everything took so long I didn’t get anything in me till about 10pm. In all honesty… it wasn’t worth the wait. It was nice! But maybe for earlier in the day or when I actually have time to.
